  • Abdur established CLIP Homes in 2021 to pioneer scalable, sustainable low-rise housing solutions for urban living. Abdur leads the design and construction for all multiplex projects at CLIP Homes while spearheading innovation across the company’s offerings. His passion for urban development and housing extends to his leadership role at Studio JCI, where he guides ambitious residential projects, from multi-building neighborhood developments to densification initiatives within MTSA zones across Ontario. Abdur has designed over five million square projects across North America and Europe with globally recognized practices, including Handel Architects LLP and 2023 Pritzker Prize winning-practice David Chipperfield Architects. A Toronto native, Abdur received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union in New York.

  • Jaegap Chung, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at CLIP Homes, leads a visionary design-build firm established in 2021. Focused on creating scalable and sustainable housing solutions, Jaegap drives a missing to enhance urban living. He’s also a Founding Principal at Studio JCI, an award-winning Toronto-based architecture firm, renowned for designing and building over eight million square feet of residential projects annually. While recognized for exclusive designs, Jaegap’s passion lies in community-centric, future-proofed residential innovation. As a subject matter expert, Jaegap has significantly influenced the City of Toronto’s municipal policies, advocating for multiplexes and mid-rises to revive the city’s missing middle housing. Jaegap Chung holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Toronto.

    A successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our efforts to design and build the next generation of Canadian housing, contributing to improving CLIP Homes’ manufacturing and construction processes.

     

    Responsibilities

    · Collaborate with the engineering team to design and optimize manufacturing processes for high-quality multiplex construction.

    · Utilize SolidWorks and CATIA to create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.

    · Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

    · Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for manufacturing projects.

    · Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

    · Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.

    · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing performance.

     

    Qualifications

    · BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

    · 2-4 years of experience or internships with a manufacturing and/or construction organization.

    · Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD products.

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    · Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the manufacturing and construction industries.

    A successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our efforts to design and build the next generation of Canadian housing, contributing to improving CLIP Homes’ delivery of active projects.

    Responsibilities

    · Develop and prepare documentation to support the delivery of active projects, from preliminary site reviews, calculations, specifications, and other data management.

    · Complete exterior design research and development exercises, documentation packages, and produce drawing sets.

    · Write technical reports, and prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

    · Collaborate with the engineering team to design and optimize manufacturing processes for high-quality multiplex construction.

    · Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.

    · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall manufacturing performance.

    Qualifications

    · Completion of a 2- or 3-year college program in architectural technology or related subject.

    · Proficiency in Sketchup, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    · Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    · Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the manufacturing and construction industries.
